The Paul in Heritage Red

This beautiful Gibson, "The Paul", was finished and restored by Jim Smith. When Jim received the guitar it was badly finished in a brown oil stain. Jim stripped the guitar and after using the filling schedule given in ReRanch 101 (grain filler followed by sand and sealer) he sprayed the body and neck with the Cherry/Heritage Red. It was then clear coated and polished to reveal the true beauty of the mahogany. Jim says that before the restoration he didn't even like to look at it. Now I would guess it is one of his favorite guitars.
