I think chrome would be the best (and most classic) choice here. I have gold hardware on one of my Les Pauls and it's wearing really fast...and I used to have a Tele with black hardware that wore off really fast as well. The wear isn't that obvious on gold hardware but the black looked pretty ugly after a short while...and it wasn't some cheap hardware either...
Anyways...as I said...chrome is IMHO the way to go...
Great guitar by the way!

I actually voted but didnt comment. I voted for chrome but as I look harder I think that the gold would really be a hit as well. I am more partial to the chrome but gold is certainly my second choice. I dont think the black would be very complimentary and I believe it would actually become lost and pull too much of the dark hightlights in your finish. There ya go buddy, my 2 cents and seconds worth. Wink

Man. I wasn't expecting gold to be such a hit. It was actually my last choice of the three.

Is this dude spamming my poll? Embarassed that didn't sound right

I'm torn.... on one hand, gold would look great...

BUT... gold doesn't seem to "relic" well - the natural wear and aging that makes chrome hardware look vintage just seems to make gold hardware look shabby.

SO... I'd go with gold, if it's an occasional player - chrome if it's a workhorse.

gold would be sweet, but a bit too rich for my likings.
im not a fan of black hardwear at all, and i think silver would be just right..... unless you went chrome, and uncovered pups.... zebra possibly??

I voted for chrome but really, I wouldn't go with ANY of the above. I think you should put nickel hardware on it.

I was wondering about that. Is nickel more of a brushed metal look? I wasn't sure if chrome and nickel were too similar. Nickel would be cool.

Thanks

To me, my opinion, black hardware associate with heavy metal guitars so I would go either for chrome or gold.

It would be a work horse for sure!
