...everyone on this board.

I've been revamping my garage work shop, and so I'm been culling through old parts and papers. I've stumbled across so many things that reminded me of all the help this forum has been to me, and I'm sure to couples other hobbies luthiers.

From a drawing of a neck someone sent me, to a few scraps of pick guard material, to pickups sold at absurdly low prices, to all the test scraps I've been digging through, practicing methods I read about here....the generosity of time and material and effort is really staggering. I've tried to give back as I can, and will continue to do so, but mostly, right now, I just want to say thanks.

Agree with the above. I really like how the users document their builds from start to finish, gives one new ideas, learn processes, instill creativity, and being shared for all to see. And you get to make some new friends along the way

Amen. This was the first DIY-type forum I'd ever actively participated in. Even though I don't post nearly as much as I used to, I always try to stop and see how things are going. Thanks to Bill for giving us all a place to chat!

ABSOLUTELY AGREED, ON ALL POINTS! And it's not just the finishing, there are some world class luthiers here, and other than the occasional good natured jab, nobody is snarky or snobby!

I also frequent an automotive (Ford Mustang) site that is like this also. Everyone helps each other, in earnest. They even have a "secret" sub-forum for members only, called the "Political Pit" where almost anything goes. There are card carryin' rights & lefts discussing things in peace and no one cops an attitude or gets their panties in a bunch!

This Place Is Great!

Always a great bunch of fellas here. I haven't been doing much over the last 2 years but I read through a lot of the posts. I'm so heavy into home building these days that I've had so little time to work on guitars. I miss working on them and hope to get back into it over the winter slowly. I'm almost finished with a couple of projects for someone and as soon as i'm done I'll be reorganizing my shop space so I can be more efficient with builds.

Enough rambling,..... thank you all for sharing your thoughts, projects, tips, tools and sources.
