My avatar showed up as an image saying " 3rd party hosting suspended" so I deleted the image. Went to a few other forums I'm on and avatars with images from the same account are fine.

If it's caused by their new terms of use and account level limitations then why are images showing on other forums ? Oh well , I guess it's time for an Imgur account.

I'm on Gearslutz and the LP forum , don't post much on either. Both still have my avatar and post pics in tact.

I have read that Photobucket is slowly going through all accounts for pics posted to 3rd party forums from free accounts and closing them down.

Looks like they got SG Lou too. His pics are deleted with an image that says:
"PLEASE UPDATE UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT TO ENABLE 3RD PARTY HOSTING"

The WEIRD is that it's not affecting my pics posted on other forums ( yet).

Tinypic is owned & operated by Photobucket . Looks like Imgur is the go.

Same here. So now, are all the threads that link to Photobucket are missing pics... Mad
And, it looks like Photobucket wants $40 / month for third party hosting. Good luck with that.

Accounts are still accessible so the only thing to do is sift through and download anything that you don't have archived on your computer.

Switched to Imgur and it's so much more user friendly.

Click on 'Library' at the top of the screen.

The first page of photos should display
On the right side of the screen you should see 'Actions'

In the left column under Actions is 'Download Album'
Click that, then you'll get a Captcha image.
Once it decides you are not a robot, you'll see a 'Download Album screen.
It may take a few minutes to process, but then you'll get a 'Your download is ready' and a download button. Click that and you'll get a zip file with all the photos.
