I am spraying the clear coat on my son's Ibanez right now and trying to plan my wiring. The guitar is an early 90s 570 that belonged to yours truly back in 93. Anyway, I have a DiMarzio Mega Zone that I bought in 1990 for a Kramer that I owned at the time as well as a Seymour Duncan Head Hunter and stock single coil. I want to wire this up and have it sound killer for him.

The Head Hunter is 9.6k and 4.8k the Mega Zone is 10k and 4.8k and the single is 9.5k What position should I put these pickups in? It has a 5 way switch and 1 single tone pot as well as a volume pot. What cap and pots? I do have the stock parts.

Also not sure if this will help, but the HH has a white/red and ground wires and the MZ has white/red/black/green and ground wires.

Thanks for your help...Dean

I did a similar setup on a guitar years ago with 500k pots and a .047 cap. Just keep track of how you wire the leads, because it's easy to wire the single coil out of phase. Ask me how I know. Embarassed

This should help with your color coding issues:

That really helped. I still need a schematic for hooking it up to the 5 way. Thanks...Dean

SD's site is pretty comprehensive for almost any wiring scheme, and has bailed me out on a few occasions.
