I hope Alabama gets humiliated.

Consider it your classic "lesser of 2 evils" scenario. I'd like to see the game end in a 0-0 tie and both be banned from the BCS for all eternity but I doubt that'll happen.

I just want everyone to remember that... when it's all over...

I went to Ole Miss, and I don't want to hear about it!

Regardless of the outcome - and I have nothing against Alabama or Texas - there should be a playoff in college football. Boise State finishes 14-0 - only the second time a team has finished 14-0 - and they don't even get consideraton to be the national champion.

And please - don't get into the "well they don't deserve to be there" conversation. Remember the 1988 and 2007 Super Bowls? They were each won by a 10-6 wild card team ('88 was the 49ers and '07 was the Giants). And how often has the NCAA basketball tournament been not won by the #1 seed? Etc, etc.

Ok, off the soapbox.

Hook'em Horns!

I agree on a playoff for the nation championship. I blame the coaches and AP polls that rank the teams to begin with. Why couldn't Boise be ranked #1 and have a better chance at a higher BCS ranking? The opinion of the majority of the AP and coaches.

I like this poll though. Very Happy

I normally root for the Huskers- And if it wasn't for the 1 second gift Texas got in the Big 12 Championship, Texas would not have pulled off a one point win. But a win is still a win-and I'd still rather see the Big 12 score another bowl win.
BTW- College football needs a playoff system, IMHO. Every other sport seems to have one-the NFL does, for instance.

Randy, with all the music you can see in Austin(and Gruene Hall too) I would not be sitting around watching the game either! As it is, we just had another half foot of snow and have an outside temp of zero with a wind chill of -20. I'm in front of the TV tonight Confused

Boise State plays in a weak conference, however they can't get teams from BCS conferences to play them. The president/athletic director has went on record several times stating they'll play any BCS conference team at the other teams stadium yet they never get any takers.

Its almost like collusion. It seems like the BCS conferences are intentionally dodging them just so each year they can imply they aren't worthy and never have to play them.

What a crock.

I have a hard time even caring.....how long can they draw it out? The game should have been played a week ago.

Colt McCoy was hurt on the FIRST drive. I'll bet 'Bama fans are happy.
