2 of these are bodies I did a while back but am finally getting around to (the ones on the right).

"Firebird JR"

fret board I machined a while back

"Firebird VII P90's"

"Firebird VII Fullsized Humbuckers"

That one used to be a two pup one that I routed a few months ago for a friend. He wanted to do a clear finish and this body just wont fly for that so I added a middle pup to it and kept it for me. I'll machine a fresh one for him from the next board of material (the 2 for Nick Greer and Joe's bass... ran out of time this morning).

The middle one with 3 mini's is for my buddy Dave who after an hour of playing mine asked how soon we could start one for him LOL.

The last one with 2 fullsized buckers is for my Dad.

Been a productive couple days... more to come Very Happy

Absolutely! To bad firebirds are so expensive to build.. Might only "finish" one every other month or so.

Cut Nick Greer's two today. I had a mishap on the truss rod channel ... I told it to cut to deep so I actually basically plugged it with a strip of maple. I'll remachine it tomorrow. It might actually work out pretty well having a strip of maple running under the truss rod.

I also started to plane and glue up Joe's thunderbird material today.

Its really starting to look hilarious at the shop Laughing

Some of the best ideas come out of " Happy Accidents "

I think you have actually improved the neck with the maple...

it will definitely make it stronger! Multi-lam neck???

I completely agree. I've done a couple multi lam necks in the batch to make use of basically scrap... Im looking forward to seeing how they work out.

I did... but some moron in the shop used it for something (though theres only me, dad and 1 other guy so odds are I shouldn't be saying moron Laughing ).

I'll snag a fresh piece so I can do Joe's bass up right.
