+1 on the miniwax. My second favorite next to RR. Especially if you've saved Bill's nozzles. It do yellow though, but nicely.

My third is McFadden's from Grizzlys, I've only used it through my spray rig and never the rattle cans. I voted LPB.

If the voices are telling you to paint the headstock, the listen to them.

This is the Minwas lacquer in a spray can.

I use it on all of my builds and they seem to turn out OK,

This is what I've found around where I live.......As for using Bill's clear that was the plan but Time is getting to be a factor in this.....I'm shooting for a first of the year completion date.....Tim may be in the hospital by then.....I'm trying to do a quality job without rushing too much and having to wait a week will throw me off schedule......

Jeff, sometimes you have to search around for the Deft at Home Depot.
Usually by the stains and stuff.
Don't ask a salesperson, they're lucky to know where the restroom is.....

Hey Jeff, If you are in Springfield, Ohio stop by the Home Depot and ask for Rocky. I'll show you where the restroom is.... Laughing Laughing Laughing I can also show you where the Minwax lacquer is as we don't carry Deft.

Rocky....If I'm ever in Springfield, I hope that me and you will be sitting in Moe's, drinking a few with Homer..... Very Happy
