Jeff some of that Minwax is nitro.
I can't remember which one but somebody here should.
I think it has a black label.

The stuff I saw had a black lable......but if it's nitro I wonder if it would polish out right..and how the heck do I find out.... Confused
I read the can and it didn't say urethane but it didn't say nitro either...Guess I could ask....couldn't hurt Wink
Still be looking for Deft though.....

Don't ask a salesperson, they're lucky to know where the restroom is.....

Man I looked high and low.....all they had was Minwax......They have Minwax laquer.....doubt it's Nitro though.. Confused

The minwax in the black can that says Lacquer is nitro lacquer and it yellows and sprays much better then Deft. I've used a ton of it. It's my favorite next to the RR brand.

I've never cared much for painted headstocks, but they look okay when it's a fairly mellow color like white or shoreline gold (and only with rosewood fretboards, never on maple...yuck!). LPB is a bold color.

I voted for natural.

This is the Minwas lacquer in a spray can.

I use it on all of my builds and they seem to turn out OK,

Hey Jeff, If you are in Springfield, Ohio stop by the Home Depot and ask for Rocky. I'll show you where the restroom is.... Laughing Laughing Laughing I can also show you where the Minwax lacquer is as we don't carry Deft.
