Hehehe, I just made one too. Wink
I deleted mine although I had added a choice for vintage tint on the neck.

Just the fact that you are thinking about painting the headstock tells me that you really should do it. I rarely paint headstocks, but when I do, it is because on that particular axe it just should be painted.

Yeah Jerry...This is a special guitar, and I like the looks of a painted headstock. But I kinda wanted to let everyone have a little input since this is a Re-Ranch project..... Cool

Right now I'm searching for Deft clear...I tried Home depot..no dice, I will try Lowe's tommorrow. I have already put the Tele together(mock-up)and have taken it back apart....S and S was applied and smoothed. Then white Re-Ranch Primer. The body is now Lake Placid Blue...I was just trying to get the clear a little sooner than I could from Bill...But if I can't I'll get some from the Re-ranch...It will just take another week... Cool

Jeff, sometimes you have to search around for the Deft at Home Depot.
Usually by the stains and stuff.
Don't ask a salesperson, they're lucky to know where the restroom is.....

Check Wal-Mart too for Deft.
I voted matching headstock, it always looks more "custom".

I vote for Lake Placid Blue headstock.

Plain is nice too, but its more like you are trying to do a "stock finish". This one is special.

The black logo against the blue is not a good contrast it will not show up well, keep it clear or natural.
