So I picked up a gorgeous 2010 Les Paul Traditional the other day, and it looked so much like a Mike Bloomfield signature model that I decided to dress it up in the right garb. I aged the hardware, added Grovers, a '61 "Les Paul" truss rod cover, and put on the mismatched knobs. End result is pretty solid, I feel.

Inspiration:

End result:

By the way, you all have seen my guitar before. Frequently. Points for anybody that can figure out where. Twisted Evil

I have a pretty good idea. Then again, I'm probably wrong. Laughing

By the way, I've been a Bloomfield fanatic for years, although catch him on the wrong tracks, or after he'd sunk too deep into the needle and spoon, and you'd be justified in wondering what the big deal was...

Wintry Country Side, live off Nick Gravenites' My Labors album
Sweet Little Angel / Jelly Jelly, recorded at The Record Plant in 1974
Blues for Nothing, an outtake from Super Session, clearly an alternate take of Albert's Shuffle with a different title.

Well, I guess my aging eyes still have an edge. Laughing

+1. Supersessions was up there with Beano for me back then. Eric created his own thing which was great but you can tell Bloomfield was from Chicago !

Good eye, Mark! And Dave, it looks great! Glad you're already putting it through its paces. Always glad to see one stay in the "family".
