Hi all,
I apologize if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if the ground wire from the cover of a pickup to the back of the volume pot and the ground wire from the bridge to the back of the volume pot need to be insulated, or can they just be bare, single strand wire?

Thanks
jb

I use 20ga buss wire when grounding between pots or switches. It is a solid, stiff, single uninsulatd wire. I wouldn't use a single strand wire that is flexible as it may short out when installing control plates and pups

Yes, as long as it's never going to touch anything it shouldn't.

I use stranded insulated wire for everything except jumpering the lugs on a switch.

(Hmmm . . . did I just make up a word?)
