Howdy, Gang!
Can anyone tell me if the ground wire from a pickup cover to the back of the volume pot or the ground wire from the bridge to the back of the volume pot need to be insulated, or will bare, single strand wire work?
Thanks,
jb

Any type of wire will work for grounding, although i would avoid a bare wire to prevent inadvertent short circuits.

Yup, this.

I use cloth-insulated wire, and I'll score a cut around where I want to make a solder point (Xacto knife or similar), pull the insulation back in both directions, solder the wire, and then pull the insulation back. Works fine so far.
