Did you hear about that? I'm kind of shock. You would think that any company surviving the recent down turn of the economy starting 2009 they would be o-kay.

Kiesel Guitars are still business though.

I guess they had a falling out of sorts with each other, and amp/PA sales aren't what they used to be.

Such a bummer, San Diego county isn't exactly a hotbed of business activity, it's a tough environment to operate a company in.

i wonder if the split between Carvin and Kissel did have something to do with. I met a guy, friend of a friend here in San Diego that worked for Carvin. not sure how many brothers there are in the family, but like Anthony said, there was a falling out. that's what this guy told me.

personally, I stopped following Kissel guitars. the current owner, one of the Grandson's of the guy who started Carvin, annoys me with his peppy uber positive videos of his company. Laughing nice guy, I talked to him an NAMM. just.....ah screw him. Laughing if they bring back the V440 bass, then Id be cool with him. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Oh some fall out, too bad for a company that was in the business for a long long time and it was not some kind failure in company's direction.

I was just about to buy a power amp because they're light! 9 to 12 lbs, only to see they're shutting down.
