I decided to add a head stock decal to the strat I did many years ago. The neck is finished in Tru Oil. I'm not really worried about burying the decal. I'm thinking I will just hit the decal with a couple of light coats of RR clear to protect it. Anything I need to worry about with this approach?

Shouldn't be a problem.

Fire away! Done that several times, and I think it's a pretty accepted method around these parts.

Like always... a few light coats work out better than one thick coat.

I am usually trying to 'bury' the decal so I am done when I can't see the decal edges easily.
