I don't play at all actually, Building guitars and amps is just kinda my hobby, its interesting, I seem to be pretty decent at it, and other people seem to like what i do. I do however play a bit of bass though.

Advice needed on what to do next please. Again, Thanks in advance

A friend of mine recommended using the 6v6's and solid state recto caps. And then using the remaing amperage on the 6.3v line to power 9 12ax7s, which could be utilized on some sort of 9 position switch or something.
position 1 - 1 12ax7 engaged
position 2 - 2 12ax7's engaged
position 3 - 3 12ax7's engaged...etc...

So anybody know if this is possible and how to go about it.

You need to figure out what amp you want to build with the transformers you have.

Trying to design an amp when you haven't built one from existing plans is a bit ambitious in my opinion.

You should get your feet wet with a simple design like a Fender Deluxe or something.
You could build that in the chassis, get it working correctly then build something else as you develop your skills.

That output transformer primary impedance will work for 4 x 6V6 or 2 x 6L6.
Not sure what you mean by the secondary impedance, that doesn't sound right.

As for the secondary impedance on the output tranny, Im just going by what I read from the spec sheet.

Went ahead and bought tubes, went cheap, minimal until i have enough money to get serious about working on it.

4 new EH 6v6 - $40
2 5y3gt tubes - $6
1 6av6 tube - 3$
3 Shugang 12ax7's - $15


On the to do list are SS recto plugs, and additional pre-amp tubes, but this should get it running for now.
Looked at the caps, and most of them have been replaced, spotted the death cap, a 22uf 475v cap from the main line power lug strip to the first rectifier socket.

I will move the tone control section/preamp into the main chassis, and start reorganizing it in preparation for some serious work.



Also in the long, and evergrowing list of ideas that will probably never get off the ground, I want to drive an M211 to school
