I use Armor All Cleaner followed by Armor All Protectant lightly. But I would first try Naptha or Mineral Spirits on the paint flecks. A fingernail sometimes works too.

I had a flexible extension for my drill but it broke. I'm thinking a smallish adapter that is set at 90 degrees that will allow me to drill and switch to longer bits as I go.
