I have used poly blanket insulation...with success. Allergic to fiberglass here
from my job exposure to it. Nasty stuff. Wear a mask. I wish I did.

back in my ham radio days...Hickok was considered the only way to go

Simpson made the best meters. VOMs and VTVMs

nothing else to add.
